About
I am housebound due to ME/Chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia, and Chrones disease. Consequently, I have to rest for a large portion of the day, I also have to have 'activity periods' between the rest. For years, I have been filling these up with, reading, watching TV etc. Two years ago, I dragged myself into the twenty first century and bought a computer that was internet ready. (My previous computer was twenty years old, need I say more). This proved to be quite a turning point in my life. Suddenly, I had the world at my doorstep. I now am less isolated and have contact with the outside world again. Making friends on sites like this has been wonderful for me. Once I had the computer, I decided to have a go at writing the book that has been in my head for years. Once I started writing, I couldn't stop. I enjoy it so much. I would never have dreamt it would give me so much pleasure and satisfaction. I love this site, reading others work and critiques. I have learned so much, and I really enjoy conversing with like minded people. I have had a tiny article (and I mean tiny), published in a magazine, and I have just finished a creative writing course with the Open University. Well, that's me in a nutshell. If I haven't spoken to you, please come and speak to me. I don't bite, honest.

by Skylark 17 hours agoSorry Weens - promise to report back in full. Am probably more excited than I would be normally as it will be my last bout of galivanting before chaos and sleep deprivation descend for, probably, the rest of this year (if my son is anything to go by!). -
by Tony 19 hours agoWeens, you could organise a coup while the rest of us are away. Take over the Cloud and rearrange all the forums to suit your tastes, delete anything you don't agree with, get all your own stuff up to the top of the lists - you could have a great time! -

by Eshka 2 days agoHi Weens, fear not, I'm still smoke-free - 3 weeks tomorrow. Those evil tablets aren't going to make me relapse, don't worry; as I said to my boyfriend, if anything, it's the smoking that's indirectly responsible for my illness the last few days. If I'd never started, I'd never have had to try those pills. I'm so done with trying to quit over and over - I HAVE quit, I quit almost a month ago and I'm not going back. -
