"Weens" commented on Jak / Duncan's Blog "Sentimental Shite - Thank you".I'm really pleased that you have found a job you feel comfortable in at last. As someone who has read and enjoyed your writing from the start, I can see the vast improvement in style, pace, characterisation and plot. You have a distinct voice now ...

I detested my previous job and actually had nightmares about some of the people I worked with. All in all, I started ...

by kd 12 days agoHey Jak, the 3Critics Club is a private critiquing group. We're looking for peole who are actively trying to get their stuff critiqued (and might need more a more constant resource than one can find on the critic board) And are open to critiquing the work of other members in exchange. The goal is to have a place where several people post up their critiques on your work so there's an exchange of ideas, etc... Let me know if you're interested!

by Weens 12 days agoYou are obviously one of the favoured few Jak. This is the first time (1.45 am) I have managed to get on properly for two days.

by Ele 12 days agoReally like it. If you're going for the fantasy market seems on target. Nothing too weird... but maybe that says more about me than what you wrote!! :-)

by Joey 13 days agoOk, my surgery is on Tuesday and I'm seriously nervous about it. I'm going to be stuck in my house for at min two weeks post-op but probably three given how crap my immune system is. My is now not letting my friends see me before the surgery in case they give me something while I'm on anti-biotics. They have me on Copen again, argh, I hate this stuff it's so strong I can barely eat. but I guess it was clear the imoxicilin wasn't working.
Anyway rant over! I've got plenty of time to write I guess. What are you working on at the moment?? -
by Chinch 18 days agoYes, loads of cheating goes oon too. People create sock puppets to back their books and support them on the forums. Be careful of the forums, there're a few real bullies on there. Nasty, is not the word!

by Chinch 18 days agoI took it off at number 160. I was spending four hours a day on reading, commenting and backing by then! It stopped me actually writing. But I got some useful feedback and a US movie agent contacted me wanting the film script. But I wasn't sure about him.Still very useful to mention in query letters though. Sally
