About

I should have been born in the Victorian times, to live in some tall-spired library with a dusty pile of classics and a pot of Earl Grey tea.

Fourteen year old tea-addicted anxiety sufferer with a penchant for sarcasm. Two rowdy characters currently sitting on her shoulder and urging her to do something other than stare blankly at an equally-blank document.

    Hi Everyone,
If you are up for it, I thought we would have a laugh, well that's Tosh and I.
I have up loaded a few pictures from my Utterly Ridiculous Book, so I thought we could have a best caption competition if you are up for it, everyone puts a caption under each of the cartoons and then each person who wants to have some fun, e-mails me at info@philiplmoore.com with whose caption they liked best.
The persons caption that gets the most votes wins all four of my paperbacks, that’s Utterly Ridiculous, Therapy, Eternal Wish and Kez. Starts as from today finishes Monday at 6.00pm.

I know I left you feedback on chapter 2. I remember saying how much I liked the comparison between the keyhole and an eye. However, it seems to have disappeared from under your work. Have you read any feedback on this form me, or is the cloud up to its tricks again.

I didn't see it, no, though I did Sky Plus it (the wonders of modern technology!) so may watch it soon. Though I do have to confess I don't love Wuthering Heights I'm afraid - I'm more of a Charlotte and Anne fan myself!

I LOVE doing literature at uni - I'm totally in my element. Reading books and writing about them for credit? Awesome! I was also lucky and my course involved studying for a year in the US which gave me a chance to learn from a different perspective. You should definitely look into maybe doing Literature with Creative Writing - lots of places offer that as a BA now :) My only word of warning would be that lit degrees do not tend to come with readily available jobs at the end of them!

I agree, it is daunting. I haven't sent my novel off yet. I'm just working through editing it. I think you just have to take the plunge. You can expect lots of rejects, but it only takes one person to be interested. If no one takes you up, then that's the time to send your work to the Writers Workshop for them to tell you why it hasn't been picked up. The WW say send it to 12 agents and if no go, then go to them. My view is, it's worth a try. What have we got to lose? There are lots of publications that pay for articles. I'm sure your work is good enough for some of these publications.

I think you must have had an interesting life so far, to write the way you do. Have you ever sent your work off to be published.

needs to get a life, preferably not one that requires sitting in front of a blank computer screen.

Thank you for your comment Inky, for such a young girl you certainly seem to know your stuff and I don't want you to take that in a patronising way at all x I'm taking on board what you say and as with others, truly appreciate the criticism x
