We're with you, Norman. Our second dog died while we were away from her at Greenbelt Festival on Sunday. Harvey died in April, and it was a shock - he was a young, bouncy, healthy dog. But Tilly has been dodging death for over a year. The vet ...

Your Tribute to Megan is moving and you and your OH have my sympathies. I've always been a cat-lover and know the pain of losing a much-loved friend; all the harder when we have to make the decision to release them from a life no longer worth living.

They say animals do not have spirits but I'm not going anywhere called Heaven but animals are not allowed. Thats Hell!

Love your sunset on the water. Loverly. Looks like winter light.

I have actually discussed with work colleagues the filling for the ultimate pie, we reckon, corned beef, black pud, bacon, sausage and salami in a rich cream sauce....mmmmmmm

Pies are indeed food of the goods. But they have to have bottoms as well as tops, I think, to be proper pies. When my brother and I were small, our grandmother made us a corned beef pie. It was so delicious that we ate the lot in one sitting. I don't think she'd expected that!

All this talk of food is making me hungry. Off to make a pizza, I think, and possibly some foccaccia as well.

In the beginning was The Writers' Workshop and The Writers' Workshop was Harry. Harry was in the beginning with The Writers' Workshop and Harry was The Writer's Workshop. And behold he looked it was good. And Harry said let us create The WordCloud after our own image and in his image he created it. And he said, Let The WordCloud bring forth writers and writing and it was so, even as he decreed it should be.
    Here endeth the first lesson.
