My daughter is severely dairy allergic (also eggs and peanuts), which means we as a family have basically been dairy free sine I started weaning her (she is now 13 months old). We found out about her allergy the hard way when she was 14 weeks old (I ...

Thank you, Cazza! In the end I had to scrap sausage and mash due to hubby texting and saying he'd be home late... bah. In the end, little one had nice roast chicken and we had fishfingers. Somewhere, I feel I got it all a bit mixed up... XD

I used to have a "mask" on all the time, sorta like the japanese. I always smiled, even if someone hurt me, I'd never let them know. That smile used to be one of the reason's everyone said I was like a sunray on a cloudy day. Guess I was really good ...

I used to be exactly like you, and would dress up for a presentation. I don't know why, but it does make you feel different. I was in a position that required smart dress all the time, but I would always put that extra bit of effort in for a ...

About

Well here goes... I'm 45, happily married with two fantastic adult children, a gorgeous grandson and another on the way. My life revolves around them usually. I live in Scotland but we're trying to get back to England, specifically the north east, to be close to our parents who are getting older by the minute. And of course, to wallow in the beauty of good old Englandshire!

I started writing about 4 years ago, when I realised I had too many words in my head and needed to get some out! Since then I've completed one ms, written a good many short stories, and started another 3 ms - but hit a wall with them and to be honest, I just can't find the time just now.

I've got the beginnings of another ms ready to jump out - hopefully I'll get it started asap.

I work full time for a charity and that takes up most of my day, by the time I get home, do the housey stuff, speak to my husband etc, it's time for bed. Plus we currently have our daughter, her partner and their son living with us again so this house is always bursting with activity.

I wish I could write in my sleep!

I'm also a Reiki practitioner, do facial massage and EFT. I love crystals, although I'm not sure of their healing properties, I love the feel and look of them - so they definitely lift my mood.

I like nothing better than the company of good friends, round a table of good food and wine. I love to listen to music, although just now it isn't always the music of my choice - sometimes nursery rhymes take first place!

I like to walk and be close to nature and love to spend time with my husband, just the two of us. I love the coast and when we move, want to be right next to it.

I get bored quickly, have a sharp tongue when I'm riled, hate injustice and you don't want to upset or hurt my family, cos I'll hunt you down and rip you apart! :o)

That's about it really - anything else you want to know, just ask.

Hi Cassa, thank you so much for your comment, your story really touched me. As I replied to Norman - I often think there's no such thing as an ordinary life. Just the fear of it maybe. For me, it's the regret of not having done something I think would be wonderful, not even giving myself to opportunity to fail at it. Anyway, I look forward to reading your work. All the best, Hannah

We drew the football match, against the other section of our grade, which we were meant to lose well not meant but know that the opposing team was a lot better than ours. Our team mostly had cricket players. They scored first and we equalized in the last seven mins. I was the captain, the only goal scorer from our team and the man of the match. Cool isn't it?

Hi Cazza, thanks for commenting on the Daily Mail blog. It is an old thread. I have had no big emotional trauma thank God. I had a full and happy life, a great career and a busy social life revolving around the performing arts. So my CFS/ME was definitely not caused by any huge emotional event. I have had it 12 years now. I don't know if you read the whole thread, but the Daily Mail had to take the poll down after two days as there was a huge outcry, especially after the World Health Organisation have classified it as being nuerological (my brain has gone blank, I can't remember how to spell it). Admittedly emotional trauma does have a physical affect, which sometimes can be confused with ME as the symptoms are similar. I hear so many stories of 'miraculous recoveries' A lot of these miraculous recoveries really didn't have ME in the first place. Some people do get better, but most only recover partially. Out of the quarter of a million known sufferers, the majority are children.

I don't mind in the least. Her first name is Stacey. I got a message from her this morning to say of course she doesn't mind (I knew she wouldn't she is a really big hearted person) and she'll have it done within a week. Like me, she is an ME sufferer, so she has to wait till she has enough energy to do these things. Can you do Reiki without her being present then? I didn't know that.
