Information
  • Are you a ...?
    Writer published in mags, etc
What genre do you primarily write in?
    Other non-fiction
If you write in more than one area, what is your next most favoured genre?
    Other non-fiction
    Are your reading habits ...?
    Omnivorous
What are your working habits when you write?
    Procastinatory
Are you the edit-every-sentence-ten-times type, or do you prefer to let rip?
    Ten times? Why so little?
    Your ultimate writing ambition?
To be able to make a sufficient living out of doing something that I adore. They say if you love your job, you'll never work another day in your life.
    Your worst habit?
They vary, but at the moment I seem to get too carried away with bits that I should just leave as they are...I'm also longwinded unless someone cuts me short. I also stay up far too late when I should be responsibly putting myself to bed.
Your opinion on the books industry?
Too much celebrity and hype, but good books still get through
    Where do you write?
    At home, at night.
What else do you want Word Clouders to know? eg: do you have 9 cats / like paragliding / eat nothing but tinned fish / work in the bath / live in Kettering?
I don't have any cats; I've never tried paragliding and I'm never likely to; I don't like tinned fish; I prefer showers to baths and I don't live in Kettering, I live in Northern Ireland.

Hope you feel better soon, glad the court case is all over for you now. Have a big glass of cold white wine and put your feet up. BTW, well done on winning the imagination workout, it was a really good entry, especially the small print!

Hurrah, good result. Now it's over you can relax more. I highly recommend a facial and massage. They have to be the biggest aid to relaxation going.

Pleased to see you have settled your case. Going to court is very stressful and rarely worth the upleasantness. Try never to think about it again.

About

I'm not a logical person at the best of times, so I'm just going to throw facts and snippets around in no particular order and for no particular reason.
I am a writer (trying to absorb that now that it's down in black and white). Yes, I am indeed a writer, but I'm as amateur as they come.
I am fanatical about music - many different genres, and in reality I don't like pigeon-holing, but the main ones would be metal, industrial, hard rock, alternative rock and anything decent that ever came out of the decades spanning 1950-1980 (and there's a veritable feast to be had there). I am always, always listening to something, and if that isn't possible, I have a tune in my head. I think that's what lubricates my cogs.
I'm also fanatical about film, and especially horror movies. In addition to that I love a lot of pretty underground, cult type viewing, but I'm not limited in my tastes by any means. My preference in comedy is usually dark and I love anything that pushes the boundaries.
Anything else you want to know...just ask me!

Well done you. That's brilliant. You have the hardest part over now, so don't give in to temptation. As an ex smoker myself, I can tell you that the smell of it becomes so abhorrent, you can't stand being near anyone who is smoking and you can smell it on them even when they are not smoking. Keep it up, and good luck for today, although I don't think you need it Let us know how you have got on.

Champix is bad Juju, I've heard of serious mental health issues being the result. Personally, I'm quitting the old fashioned way (and not succeeding).

Stay calm in court. That's all you need to do. Take a book. Let us know how you get on.
