Are you a ...?Unpublished writer (so far)What genre do you primarily write in?General fictionAre your reading habits ...?OmnivorousWhat are your working habits when you write?ProcastinatoryAre you the edit-every-sentence-ten-times type, or do you prefer to let rip?Ten times? Why so little?Your ultimate writing ambition? To hone my God-given talent (one that I can barely admit to) into a productive skill that I can exercise with confidence. And of course to be published.Your worst habit?I know that I can write, but I haven't taken the time to explore my ability thoroughly; reasons for this range from self-deprication and lack of confidence to simply not knowing where to start.Your opinion on the books industry?Too much celebrity and hype, but good books still get throughWhere do you write? At home, at night. What else do you want Word Clouders to know? eg: do you have 9 cats / like paragliding / eat nothing but tinned fish / work in the bath / live in Kettering?I'm a fairly run of the mill individual; my only other outstanding features are that I adore music and believe in trying my hand at anything once.

My new story idea is blossoming bit by bit, and it feels good.I took some advice from the comments made on the first little bit that I wrote, and since then it's been moving along at a steady pace. I have a general structure in mind, and I'm finding ...

And so ends my first day as a newly dedicated amateur writer with the help of the Cloud. It's late, and I'm tired, but I've actually succeeded in what I set out to do, and that was to write something. At this point, I'm unsure as to whether it'll ...
About
I am a writer (trying to absorb that now that it's down in black and white). Yes, I am indeed a writer, but I'm as amateur as they come.
I am fanatical about music - many different genres, and in reality I don't like pigeon-holing, but the main ones would be metal, industrial, hard rock, alternative rock and anything decent that ever came out of the decades spanning 1950-1980 (and there's a veritable feast to be had there). I am always, always listening to something, and if that isn't possible, I have a tune in my head. I think that's what lubricates my cogs.
I'm also fanatical about film, and especially horror movies. In addition to that I love a lot of pretty underground, cult type viewing, but I'm not limited in my tastes by any means. My preference in comedy is usually dark and I love anything that pushes the boundaries.
Anything else you want to know...just ask me!

Ha - my sister went to Keel. She never finished her degree either! Must be something in the air from all the pottery chimney stacks :-)
btw, it's best if you post replies on the recipient's wall (just click on their name to go to their wall). That way they are notified that you have replied ;-) -

Hi Eshka, I've just read that you are from Nor'n Irlan'. Me too, although I've been living in Surrey now for longer than I lived in Ireland. My (so far unpublished) novels are set in and around County Down wher I grew up. Where abouts are you living? Tony

No problem and yes, this is a friendly site - very supportive too. Lets put it this way, it's like riding a bicycle right, you never forget...? Or rather if it was not worth it, then you'd not be writing it, so therefore it has to be important and worthy of being written....

Hello and welcome to the cloud, music lover.... love many types of music myself and great movies, but also big on books. What books do you read? Sure you'll succeed in your writing, just have confidence and faith in your ability. Like the profile picture - that a painting?

It's definitely good fun. Oh, yes - and there's the writing, too! Anyway, it's getting late. Time to head off to Bedfordshire. Good night.
