Rebecca Holmes actually got round to sunbathing for half an hour in the garden this aftenoon because realised it might be the last chance for a while. Lovely, lovely hot sun, why do you have to go away when I'm just getting to know you?

Hope your little plum tree has plummed up your larder. :) My little plum tree stopped sulking this year and gave abundantly - then a fox scaled the branches and ate them all - yes!

"No offence to Simples but, erm, no." Don't worry, we wouldn't tell Simples, the poor sensitive little commercial spin-off.

We went to Hvar town and stayed in an old lady/local entrepreneur's apartment. It must have changed a lot although they have really tried to protect it and banned hotel developments - hence the old ladies with spare rooms cleaning up.
btw that blessed Meercat has a book deal with Ebury (Random House): http://www.thebookseller.com/news/120110-simples-ebury-to-publish-the-meerkat.html
